FROM WHERE IT ALL BEGAN
Big Top Entertainment was created by two talented human beings, one young boy named Simon, who went to circus school from a young age, and one young woman named Cindy who was practising to be a professional gymnast. These two creative people crossed paths at the famous Expo 88 and from there decided to become one, and join the circus.
They travelled around Australia with Circus Royale, had their 1st child and loved entertaining. A few years went by and they realised they wanted the best for their children, so stability was their next goal. They bought their 1st house and Big Top Entertainment was born.
Cindy and Simon saw a gap in the entertainment industry and focused on using their skills to provide entertainment to shopping centres and small events. Their company was recognised internationally and they began representing Australia for overseas events such as; School holiday shows in Japan, a large scale production for Thailand's king and Taiwan's children's festival every second year.
Their experience grew along with their talented team of performers and they soon became one of the first successful family run entertainment company's outside of travelling circus's.
Cindy and Simon had 3 children, all whom were able to attend a private school education with minimal time off. All 3 children were performing from a very young age, growing their skills and repertoire every year. They shared their experiences with their school friends and worked hard on weekends and school holidays.
The benefits of the whole families hard working ethic, allowed them to enjoy travelling to many countries, living a work hard, play hard life.
As the years progressed, so did the entertainment industry. We had to learn how to do marketing and how to keep current with what the industry needed. Simon expanded his business ideas and now owns and runs the largest circus tent company in Australia, Super Tents. Cindy runs Big Top Entertainment and the two eldest daughters help with office work and do their best to provide modern ideas and concepts.
Big Top Entertainment now has a large team of performers that are like family, they train together, work together and are a part of each others lives in every facet. The bond that has been growing over the past 25 years, makes Big Top Entertainment the special, genuine and talented company it is today.
The faces behind Big Top Entertainment still perform multiple times a week while juggling all the office work, creative concepts, costume designing and hand making, amongst the rest.
Our passion and drive is like no other, this is our world, it is all we know and all we love.
Future aspirations and goals for Big Top Entertainment include, continuous growth within the industry, creating new costumes, innovating new acts and ideas to captivate our clients, customers and fans. We love what we do and would love to provide a memorable service for you, time and time again.
